Longines Conquest Ref. 9000 /10 vintage wristwatch, circa 1957
A handsome stainless steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch two-tone dial
The Longines Conquest was launched in 1954. Today the model is recognised as one of the most iconic of Longines’ vintage models. The dial of this example is in exceptional condition with a superb two-tone finish. The bold steel casing has a screw-down back, centred with a gold plaque bearing Longines’ water-resistant fish logo and heightened with green enamel. The watch is powered by the Longines calibre 19AS, one of the company’s earliest automatic movements.
To mark the Conquest’s 60th anniversary, Longines has recently announced the release of a limited edition, heritage Conquest model, which very closely copies the original Conquest designs.
